If there's no consistency to the type of content you upload it will be very difficult for YouTube's algorithm to categorize your channel so it knows who to recommend your videos to. If you have a 2 PC setup (one playing and one recording) you might be able to get away with a mid-range PC for most games. Gaming is up there with most demanding content because you need a very good PC to play and record popular titles at high graphic settings and resolutions. Same thing for cooking although that really needs better camera gear and lighting to look good. If you're going to upload a vlog then your phone or phone+mic will do just fine to start.

You may only see a blank screen / or no game screen at all if advertisements are in any way restricted on your browser.
